This article provides information about what to do to avoid the error message below when connecting to your Office 365 email account: The request failed. The operation has timed out.

Due to a recent change from Microsoft, it is best to update the Server URL within your email settings as this is one of the items that has changed.

⚠️ Important: Please be aware you will need to be logged in as a System Admin to follow the below steps.

To solve this:

  1. Navigate to System Admin menu, General, Email Settings.
    If you are on Profile R10: System Admin menu, Database Configuration, Email Settings.

  2. Locate the Server URL

  3. Click Save and log out and back into Profile.
