When the candidate was created, the record has not been given a Type (Permanent, Temp, Exec etc).
To find them, you can go into your History (top right of Profile) to locate the user or else navigate to:
Select Reports & Lists and then select Intelligent Reports.
Select Candidates and choose New Candidates.
Once within the new candidates record, go into the Types Tab and make the relevant Type status as Active.
